Next membership meeting: The Upper Rio FM Society, Inc., (URFMSI) will hold its fourth quarterly meeting of 2010 on Tuesday, October 12 at 7:30pm in the Fellowship Hall of the Immanuel Presbyterian Church located at 114 Carlisle Blvd., SE, in Albuquerque. Please enter the church from the northernmost entrance. DO NOT park in the Nob Hill parking lot to the west of the church, as police have been ticketing. The purpose of the meeting is to conduct normal business of the URFMSI as may be appropriate. Members and visitors alike are invited to attend. Please bring a fellow ham along, or someone who is interested in becoming a ham or is curious about what we do.

MEETING PROGRAM: TBD

July's member meeting featured URFMSI board member Mike Eaton K5MJE, who provided a presentation that homebrewers -- whether for QRP, ARES, or other kits and projects -- were be interested in: An inexpensive and easy way to get professional-grade engraving and hole punching in chassis and panels that you might use in your projects (such as enclosures and such). Mike has utilized a company that provides free layout software to create the location and type of engraving/hole he wishes to put in his panel. The software, when your layout is complete, sends your design to the company and they create it for you.

The Upper Rio FM Society meets quarterly, specifically on the second Tuesday of January, April, July and October at 7:30pm. All members and visitors alike are welcomed to attend!

Our meetings are held in the fellowship hall of Immanuel Presbyterian Church, located at 114 Carlisle Blvd in southeast Albuquerque (at the intersection of Carlisle and Central Blvds). The purpose of the meetings is to conduct normal business of the URFMSI and to tend to other matters as appropriate. The October meeting is the Annual Meeting of the membership, at which three members are elected to the Board of Directors.

Interesting programs and presentations usually follow the business portion of the meeting. Topics are announced in the membership mailing (meeting announcement and roster) that occurs before each meeting.

Below is a map illustrating the meeting location. Many members monitor and talk on the 146.90 (-, 67 Hz PL) repeater while enroute to and from meetings. Feel free to join them to chew the rag or request additional directions to the meeting location.

If you are GPS enabled, the coordinates to the meeting location are:
